Cycle workshop & repair services are available instore

To get the best out of your bike, it needs to be maintained. Regular cleaning and servicing will extend the life of your components, saving on costly replacements and will make riding your bike a much more enjoyable experience.

We have two busy workshops carrying out repairs and servicing on most types of bicycles. We are proud to work with the Island Police force in maintaining their fleet of cycles.

We carry out repairs ranging from a puncture repair to a complete bike strip down and rebuild. We hand build wheels to meet an individual customers specification.

Although our most popular jobs are listed on our price list below, estimates on specific repairs are free, so just bring your bike in for a quote.

Workshop Q & A

Why are my gears clicking

Usually because your rear mech (deraileur) is out of alignment with your cassette.  Try adjusting the cable tension by turning the barrel adjuster (adjuster at the point where the cable enters the mech) just half a turn at a time anti-clockwise.  Check that your mech or mech hanger hasn't been bent out of line.

Why are my brake blocks squeaking

Try adjusting the angle of your blocks by about 1mm so that the leading (front) edge of the blocks hits the rim first.  This should stop the vibration that causes the noise.  Also keep rim and blocks clean, oil contamination can cause noise too.  You may need new blocks if that doesn't work.
